Plein Air Days
“En plein
air” is a French expression meaning “in the open air” and is
particularly used in the context of painting in the outdoors
where natural light adds a dimension to art unavailable with
artificial lighting.
Bring your easel, paints, canvasses, pastels or any
other medium you choose to work with and enjoy an afternoon
immersed in nature and let the living energy saturate your
senses and inspire your artist’s soul.
Be sure to wear
sturdy shoes & long pants as the terrain is mountainous.
The final 2008 Plein Air Day took place on October 26.
Please check back for 2009 dates soon.
